We do not want the user to plug keyboard into USB port and operate the WinCE directly. But in maintain mode, we will allow the keyboard inputs.

Change the following values, you can change the dll name (USBHID.DDL to something like NOLOAD_USBHID.DLL) or delete the keys:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\USB\LoadClients\Default\Default\3\Hid_Class]
"DLL"="USBHID.DLL"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\USB\ClientDrivers\Hid\Instance]
"DLL"="USBHID.DLL"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\USB\ClientDrivers\Hid\Hid_Class]
"DLL"="USBHID.DLL"

But, be aware that this will also disable the USB Mouse.

Hi Bruce,
We just reviewed your suggestion, it may not work for us. Because we also need the USB port to transfer data to USB stick. Do you other ideas may help us?

That will not disable USB memory sticks, only USB keyboard and mouse.

Hi Bruce
I tried your method to by changing the dll name to disable the keyboard. It worked, however, after I renamed the dll name back to "USBHID.DLL" in order to re-enable the the keyboard support, I saw a pop-up window saying Unidentified USB device, Enter the name of driver for this USB device after plugging a USB keyboard. What should I do to enable the keyboard correctly? Right now, my target device can not recognize any USB mouse or USB keyboard.
Please advise.

Never mind, I found the problem, there is one extra line feed character in the end of "USBHID.DLL" string when I tried to change the DLL value.
