I am monitoring DTR and RTS signal events via my serial analyer, and I am not able to wiggle COM3 DTR on GM using COMTEST.EXE.
RTS works perfect and I have no loopback jumpers installed.

Boot loader 1.70
Image CE build 3.19

Hi Joel. Serial 3 on the GMaster is a "five-wire" serial port: It has TX, RX, RTS, CTS and GND. The remaining signals are either open or looped back to the other device using jumpers JP16 and JP17.

If your application requires active control of the DTR signal, consider using "nine-wire" serial ports A and B (COM4: and COM5:) on J20.

I see. This is why the manual states:
3.7.10 J10: Serial Port 3
“DCD3” DCD from external device
“DSR3” DSR from external device
“DTR3” DTR from external device

Makes sense... now, DOH!!

I have a Samtec cable on order.

Thanks
