Q: What kind of support does CE have for Text to Speech?

Standard Windows CE 3.0 has no Text-To-Speech (TTS) support, but there are a wide array of third party solutions available. Here are a few:

RealSpeak Library from ScanSoft
ElanTTS from Elan Speech
DECTalk from Fonix

Microsoft also intruduced their Speech API (SAPI) version 5.0 with their Windows CE for Automotive adaptation kit:

SAPI 5 has also been added as a standard option in CE.NET:
