Do you mean the type of audio HW BitsyX support? - Like Number of Channels (Stereo or Mono) - or Type of Output (Bridge Tied Load or Single-Ended). Please check out our BitsyX User's Manual on Audio Section 4.4.
The BitsyX CS4202 codec does support full duplex audio (i.e recording and playing simultaneously). I know that the Linux drivers support this feature, and that we have done it for other CE products, but I don't know for certain if the BitsyX CE builds currently support it. I'm looking into it.
Can you drop us a line at support.us@eurotech.com with details about what you need? We'll want to make sure the drivers meet your requirements!
What are your plans regarding an update to the XScale CE driver so as to support full-duplex audio? Such a driver would eliminate extra hardware we are about to assemble for an audio switching application.
As we are some months ago from the previous respons (from akidder), is the full-duplex audio (mic input and line output at the same time)now implemented into the XScale CE? driver?
Yes, it is. Full duplex audio has been working on the BitsyX (and other products with the CS4202 codec) at least since the end of 2003, and possibly earlier.
Take a look at the sample app posted at topic 1856 for a demonstration of full duplex audio at work.
