The Bitsy G5 behaves differently than our other Bitsy Products, and differently than in the ‘CE Getting Started Guide’. Specifically, the DIP Switches tell the processor which memory to boot from. Given that there is only one type of memory on the board, they should be left in the state (DIP Switch 1=2=OFF) and not modified.
Instead, you must use the debug output (default usually set within the adsload.hwt to COM3, J18, of the Bitsy G5 Personality board) and take one of the following actions on boot-up: - ‘Sealed Box Upgrade’ Mode: With CF Card inserted, simply don’t press the spacebar and the board will load the files from the CF Card - ‘Debug’ Mode : Press spacebar within 5 seconds of booting to enter ‘Debug Menu’ - ‘Normal’ Mode : With CF Card NOT inserted, simply don’t press the spacebar and the board will boot to the desktop
