Is there a way to automatically connect my ADS development system to ActiveSync as 'Guest' and avoid the 'Create Partnership' dialog?
Yes. There is an undocumented ActiveSync "feature" that allows this. On your PC add the following registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services]
"GuestOnly"=dword:00000001
Any existing partnerships will be treated normally, but any new device connected to the host will automatically connect as Guest. To create a new partnership, either delete the key or change its value to 0x00.
