 How to upgrade from CE 3.0 to CE 4.0?		  Forum Locked

Window CE 3.0 is pre-installed on my Applied Data System. I need to upgrade Window CE 3.0 to 4.0. I also know I need to download eVC++ 4.0, and Service Pack 1 & 2. The question is how do I get these new upgrades onto my Applied Data System? Thanks in advance.

Follow these steps:

  1. Download and install eVC 4.0 (see Topic 374)
  2. Download and install the correct Service Pack (SP1 for CE 4.1, SP2 for CE 4.2) (see Topic 374)
  3. Download and install the correct SDK for your device (see Topic 678). The SDK you need depends on the device processor and the version of CE you will be using (4.1 or 4.2).
  4. Download the CE Image and Configuration files for your device from our Image Selector page.
  5. Follow the directions for updating your CE Image found in the Windows CE Developer's Getting Started Guide
