Q. How can I tell how much flash is installed on my system?

ADS systems currently use StrataFlash, Intel's second generation flash memory system. Most products use two flash chips wired in parallel to create a 32-bit memory bank.

The flash comes in several packages; look for the "28F" to determine how much flash your system has:
  28F320 x 2 =  8M x 8 bits
  28F640 x 2 = 16M x 8 bits
  28F128 x 2 = 32M x 8 bits

I think my Flash chip is blown as well. The system reports that there are no flash memory on board. Can I use the K3 chips?
